ARTBOOK : CRIMSON RED
Crimson Red is my first Artbook, and first big project for Japan Expo 2019.
Composed of 40 colored pages, it's based off my own universe and specifically my character / persona with over a dozens of exclusive illutrations.
Crimson Red was mostly a test, and the accomplishment of a dream I've had for a while that was to publish an artbook one day. My character is a very important part of me and part of my life for several personal reasons, thus why I've been trying for years to develop him specifically along with his mindset.
Crimson Red is not available anymore currently, and is only printed in French.
It portrays on my character's Phase 1 and Phase 2 in bloody illustrations, Phase 3 and 4 being for now too "gore-y" to be publically released in an artbook.
Crimson Red is mostly illustrations of my character, with some exclusive ones, specially made for the artbook. Done in about 6 months of work, I've mostly tried to make a book that could tell a story, a setting without words.
Divided into three main chapters, respectively Surface, Abyss and Shards, it's meant to portray different aspects of my character's personality and the demon living inside him.
Red and black are the main colors used and a specific palette I love to work on while they represent my own universe and mind.
I hope to one day reprint it in better quality with extra pages and redrawn illustrations, whenever Crimson Red volume II gets produced.
